E.ON Ruhrgas conducted its announced gas auction on 11 August 2010. Interested companies were able to purchase the gas at the German virtual hub (NCG) or at the Dornum, Emden and Waidhaus exit points on the German border.
In total, 39 companies have qualified as bidders for the offered 220 lots.. About a quarter of the lots were sold in the second round. Both price formulas (oil-indexed and spot/oil-indexed) as well as delivery at the NCG hub and at various exit points were requested by the successful bidders.
